Mr. Chinthaka Jayasooriya
Seasoned research professional, policy advocate, and experience trainer with over 13 years of expertise in agrarian studies, sustainable agriculture, climate adaptation, and entrepreneurship development. Currently serving as the Senior Research Officer and Head of the Environment Division at the Hector Kobbekaduwa Agrarian Research and Training Institute (HARTI), and also the former Head of Education and Training Division of HARTI.
Holds dual master’s degrees in Climate Change (Australian National University) and Crop Science (University of Peradeniya), along with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.
A respected member of various professional forums and national committees on natural resource management, climate adaptation and entrepreneurial advancement driven livelihood development.
Led numerous research projects and training programs aimed at fostering agricultural innovation and resilience. Demonstrate strong commitment to advancing sustainable farming practices, sustainable livelihood development, building resilience among rural and agrarian communities.

Ms. Tilashani Samarakoon
Expert professional in the manufacturing industry and experienced trainer with over 12 years of expertise in Total Quality Management and Regulatory Compliance, including 9 years of experience in multinational manufacturing companies. Currently serving as the Manager-Quality Management Systems & Regulatory Compliance at Atlas Axillia (Pvt) Ltd and a visiting lecturer at The Plastic & Rubber Institute of Sri Lanka (PRI).
Holds a Master’s in Business Management (Cardiff Metropolitan University), a Postgraduate Diploma in Manufacturing Management (University of Colombo), a Bachelor of Science in ENCM (University of Kelaniya), a Diploma in Quality Management (SLSI), and a certified ISO 13485 Lead Auditor.
Actively contributes to professional forums, including the Sri Lanka Institute of Training & Development (SLITAD) and the Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka (CPM).
